Assembled by Electronic Arts Intermix, The Best of William Wegman is a twenty minute survey of Wegman's vignettes from the years 1970 to 1978. His Dog Man Ray, various props, and the Talking Stomach are featured in this compilation of Wegman classics which include Duet, Milk Floor Piece, Stomach Song, Two Lamps, Pocket Bookman, Deodorant, Massage Chair, and Spelling Lesson.
"William Wegman is one of the art world's most affable subversives. Though identified with various aesthetic persuasions, he has always been a lively maverick, difficult to categorize. He is perhaps best known as the video artist who stole into the modernist academy in the early 70's and shattered its sober facade with a sequence of hilarious tapes starring himself and a canine confederate - his pet Weimaraner, Man Ray.
