Janis takes us through the stations of Chopin's life, demonstrating the pianistic techniques Chopin taught his pupils; examing differences between manuscript and published versions of some pieces; and showing both his technical virtuosity and exceptional affinity with Chopin in performances of a broad range of Chopin pieces - mostly touchingly, perhaps, on the now weatherbeaten, untuned piano on which the Funeral March was composed.
