"Our aim is to revive Old Time Country Music and re-instill Old Time Character as our original settlers did as they recalled their home music innovating to exhilarate - stimulate and set toes to tapping and hands to clapping. Making up songs and tunes for dancing in times of danger and sorrow. Each ancestral group brought songs with different melodies and rhythms, mixing these various tunes in effort of exciting residents of various communities to different styles of playing, making our form of Old Style Country Music extremely popular worldwide resulting in a character buildup of our nation. This we would like to re-instill in our traditional Country Music as formerly played without the perfection seemed so necessary today." - Oregon Old-Time Fiddlers Association
