In talking about his novels, the author Jean Pelegri leads viewers through a biographical universe, along memory's random paths of association and digression. Pelegri begins by going back to the 19th century, to a time when his ancestors arrived in Algeria, and then proceeds to the lifestory of his father. He then reaches the story of his own life, the life of a man torn apart by the war in Algeria.
