"Wildwood-One Tree at a Time" is about alternatives. We follow Merve Wilkinson, selective logger, into his forest as he selects and harvests trees, listening in as he instructs a group of eco-forestry students in his methods. This program also looks at the problems facing the forest industry today. Wildwood originally aired on the CBC in 1996. It was awarded a bronze plaque at the Columbus International Film Festival and selected as a finalist at the Pretoria Environmental Film Festival. It has been screened at the World Development Film Festivals in Courtenay and on Saltspring Island and the Green Extreme Film Festival in Vancouver.
