Conducted at the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest in western Oregon for over 25 years. In this program eight prominent researchers involved in these investigations, and a U.S. Forest Service district ranger who is actively applying their research results to the forest lands he manages, discuss results from these studies and some of the possible implications for forest management. Together, they introduce the concept of managing the forest as a total ecosystem, and challenge viewers to analyze their own management actions from that perspective.
