In this landmark film about rebellious youth, a group of teenagers meet daily on Schoönhauser Avenue in East Berlin to dance to rock n' roll, swap Western goods and escape control of their parents and the State. Directed by Gerhard Klein (The Gleiwitz Case) and starring Ekkehard Schall, the son-in-law of Bertolt Brecht, this "classic cult film" (Washington Diplomat) is considered one of Germany's most important films.
