In 1916, Charlie Chaplin left Essanay Studios to make movies for the Mutual Film Corporation. This would prove to be Chaplin's most fertile period of filmmaking: within two years he conceived, wrote, produced, directed and starred in twelve pictures for the Mutual Film Corporation.
Here is a delightful compendium of films from Chaplin's Mutual period, showcasing some of his most beloved shorts. Included in this volume are "The Count" and "The Vagabond," which features one of Chaplin's outstanding performances as the endearing "little tramp" character.
