Of about 50 different rockfishes only eight have been studied extensively and several are becoming seriously overfished. The Pacific Marine Conservation Council of Astoria, Oregon in cooperation with the Marine Science Institute of the University of California in Santa Barbara collected footage shot off the coast of California of some common rockfishes.
