The Primal Instinct examines the incredibly diverse, often strange behavior of the Earth's creatures as they obey thier urge to breed. Some species only need one sex to get the job done, in others each member is both sexes at once, still others have been reproducing for millennia with no sex at all. In some species, a female devours her suitor after having sex with him, in others a single female is attacked by a mob of sex starved males. Although at times almost unbelievable, there's a compelling logic to every fascinating twist and turn in the story of how life reproduces.
