Humans experience consciousness on many levels. We are aware of what is happening around us, we're aware of oursleves, and our morality. Do these forms of consciousness translate to animals? When we look into the eyes of a chimpanzee, does a conscious mind look back at us? How about a lizard? A bee? We may never be able to answer these questions with certainty, but new experiments are providing some intriguing clues.
