In this final program, Edmund Capon takes viewers to selected locations that embody the real and distinctive character of the country and the symbols that represent the unique spirit reflected in China's art: the Forbidden City in Beijing; a classic Chinese garden; and the greatest of the sacred mountains, Huangshan, inspiration for the great Chinese painters. He also visits the great calligrapher Huang Maozi and Jingdezhen, the home of Chinese porcelain.
