Offering unparalleled insight into the creative process, A World of Art takes viewers inside the studios and minds of ten contemporary artists. The featured artists work in a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, printmaking, performance art, and video installation. Each program shows an artist taking one or more works from start to finish, offering his or her comments along the way. Viewers come to see that a work of art does not stand alone but is a personal reflection of its creator, representing a series of problems, decisions, accidents, and revisions.
