Not all bee colonies are equal. Proper pollination is going to result in qualitative and quantitative differences in fruit sets. When people see bees, they usually think of honey or of getting stung. But bees play a more important role than the production of honey. Many farmers rent truckloads of bees but unfortunately, not all colonies are equal. There are three primary indicators of the quality of the bee colony; quality of the comb, quality of brood, and the number of bees.
