In this short introductory videotape, Dr. Logan Norris and Dr. Frank Dost briefly summarize each program, and discuss how the series is organized to provide a better understanding first of exposure, then of toxicology and finally how these are brought together in a risk analysis. They set the stage for the series by discussing why this information is important in improving the quality of decisions related to pesticide use, and in meeting the requirements of the risk analysis process used by the U.S.D.A. Forest Service.
