Letter from Linus Pauling to Jerry Donohue. January 20, 1953. Pauling informs Donohue that he asked Yakel to check the radial distribution function calculations for the alpha helix, and
provides specific details of the calculations. He mentions that Yakel, Shatz, and Rack have completed their work on the cylindrical
distribution function, and adds that there is some dispute concerning the results for alpha-keratin and collagen. Pauling
also notes that he and Dr. Corey will have a paper on the structure of nucleic acids published in "Proceedings" in February
before discussing his review of Carlisle's work on ribonuclease. Transcript.
