Dear Mrs. Rosenwald:

Before leaving on his trip, Professor Pauling asked me to send you the enclosed copy of his speech and the photostat of a Russian article. I am very sorry there has been a delay in sending these two items to you, but I had to do some hunting for the article.

As you will see, there is an insert for the speech. I am not certain of the exact spot where this belongs, other than the fact that Dr. Pauling indicated to insert it before page 10. If you do need to know the exact placement of the insert, I shall ask Dr. Pauling when he returns a month from now and send the information to you.

In making a thermofax copy of the Russian article, several paragraphs had to be repeated because of the size of the article. I have indicated which paragraphs these are.
