    • Letter from LP to George Gamow RE: Response to Gamow's ideas about translation of DNA to protein. LP states that he finds the most important aspect of the problem to be the shape of the DNA molecule, and how the nucleic acids fit into that. LP then discusses Gamow's conclusion that his translation system would allow for only twenty amino acids. LP concluded that the Gamow system would actually allow for 64 amino acids.
