  • Letter from LP to Ava Helen Pauling RE: Writes that yesterday was interesting, with a talk by Bragg and a discussion of LP's own work. He mentions spending some time thinking about collagen structure, and a biochemical meeting going on tomorrow. He also says that there are very few wives attending the conference.

RE: a new alternative super-insecticide is being developed based on research at the U. of California citrus experiment station. LP's knowledge of the way enzymes in insects control their growth made the chemical building of the insecticides possible.
