  • LP attends the American Philosophical Society meetings in Philadelphia.
  • Letter from Edwin H. Land of Polaroid Co. to LP RE: writes that Prof. E B Wilson referred LP's request for info. about the ultraviolet color-translating microscope . Sends some of their published literature about the instrument to Dr. G. W. Beadle. Its development was sponsored jointly between the Office of Naval Research and the American Cancer Society, and so they are currently promoting the instruments under Captain C. W. Shilling.
