  • LP and AHP travel by car to Mt. Vernon, Iowa from Columbia, Missouri to Cornell College. J.B. Culbertson of the Chemistry Department arranges for them to stay the night in a dormitory.

Suggests that he meet with someone else at Cal Tech.
