  • LP signs papers that state that he was a co-inventor of either an "offset liner for a cavity charge" or an "offset liner for a gravity charge" (title differs between documents). LP also signs over the invention to the United States Navy for the amount of $1.00. [Filed under LP Science: 10.010].

Hooley, University of British Columbia, to LP RE: Agrees with LP's choice of topics for the two general speeches, and goes on to inform him that a seminar talk on the subject of metallic compounds has been arranged.
