- Letter from LP to Dean Frank C. Whitmore. [Filed under: W: Correspondence, Box #443.2]
July 12, 1934
Dean Frank C. Whitmore,
State College, Pa.
Dear Dean Whitmore:
The two samples of neopentane arrived safely. We are very grateful to you for this substance, and we shall begin work on it immediately. In regard to impurities, two or three percent of other hydrocarbons would not make any difference; a much larger quantity of impurities, however, might affect the results. We could correct for this if we knew what the impurities consisted of, and how much of them are present. Could you give us this information?
Very sincerely yours,
- Letter from LP to Treat B. Johnson, Yale University RE: LP can not give Johnson any results regarding ostreasterol and d-glycose urea because of trouble with their x-ray apparatus which is almost repaired. Will write when the studies are completed. [Letter from Johnson to LP January 2, 1934] [Filed under LP Personal Safe: Drawer 3, Folder 3.018.109]
