Finding Books

OSU Libraries Catalog: Use the catalog to find books, journals, government publications, maps, and other materials owned by OSU Libraries. The catalog can be searched in a variety of ways (keyword, author, title, subject, call number, ISSN/ISBN, etc). In addition, searches can be limited or sorted for easier discovery of materials. This feature is available directly from the keyword search option or indirectly from the results page of other types of searches (choose the “Limit/Sort Search” button).

You may also opt to “Repeat in Summit” to quickly search regional academic library holdings (see below).

Summit Catalog: This catalog expands our patrons’ access to academic library collections throughout Oregon and Washington. The search features of this catalog are similar to those of the OSU Libraries Catalog. You can request materials directly through Summit. Materials take approximately 3 business days to be delivered to your home library.

OCLC WorldCat: Index to over 60 million records cataloged by libraries worldwide. Materials indexed include books, journals, conferences, films, videos, recordings, musical scores, computer software, maps and manuscripts.
