Adaptive Technology
The administration and staff of the Valley Library endeavor to make the Library's facilities and collection accessible to all members of the OSU community. Persons with special requests not covered below may contact the reference desk at 737-7295, 737-4594 (TDD), or .
OSU students who need research assistance over an extended period of time may contact Disability Access Services (737-4098, TDD 737-3666) in the Kerr Administration Building (AdS A200).
Accessible formats of library publications are available upon request. Complete the Accessible Formats Request Form (also available at the Reference Desk). Requests will be filled within 1-3 working days, depending on the format and amount requested.
Library photocopiers are self-service and use a debit card or cash to make copies. Black and white copies are $0.07 a copy. All machines have enlarging capability. One machine on the second floor is wheelchair-accessible.
The Circulation Desk can provide photocopying assistance during regular business hours. You may be asked to complete a request form (also available at Circulation) for copies to be picked up later.

Research assistance is available at the Reference Desk or by appointment with a subject librarian.
For assistance retrieving materials from the library stacks, complete the Retrieval of Library Materials request form (printable version) and turn it in to the Library Circulation Desk. Your request will be filled within 24 hours and held for you at Circulation. If staff are available, your request will be filled immediately.

The Information Commons computers on the main floor are equipped with audio web browsers and screen reading and magnification software. Wheelchair accessible terminals are located on every floor of the library.
In the Information Commons, an adaptive PC workstation includes a large monitor, trackball, ergonomic keyboard, Aladdin Genie computer interfaced CCTV, HP scanner with automatic document feeder, and many adaptive technology programs.

CCTV Enlargers: CCTV Enlargers are located on the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th floors in the computer/photocopier alcoves.
Closed Captioned Videos: A VCR and monitor for viewing closed-captioned videos is available for use. Ask at the Circulation Desk.

Telephones: Public and campus phones on the second floor are wheelchair-accessible. A public (pay) TDD is located in the 2nd floor vestibule. The Library's TDD number is 737-4594.
